My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I don't know why I am drawn to political conspiracy thrillers but I was not disappointed by this one. Jack Ford an ex marine follows up on a letter about an unknown daughter and gets drawn into a conspiracy that could change the world order. A very good story which uses historical events to add to the depth of the storyline. The story takes off when Jack is passed a document under extreme circumstances in Singapore. Excellent thriller recommend giving it a try.

Total Blackout by Alex Shaw

Total Blackout: A gripping, breathtaking, fast-paced SAS action adventure thriller you won’t be able to put down (A Jack Tate SAS Thriller, Book 1)Total Blackout: A gripping, breathtaking, fast-paced SAS action adventure thriller you won’t be able to put down by Alex Shaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My type of action thriller, fast pace, no messing, clear storyline and exciting. On holiday in the US Jack Tate is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is accused of an assassination. Quickly discounted as the assassin he starts to get suspicions of something more that just a straight hit - then the power goes out. Instincts kick in and Jack starts to investigate, what follows is a fast paced thriller full of all action excitement. Excellent start to this series.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Good story of crime and corruption which starts with a car crash. It has taken me ages to read but during lockdown I have been doing other things. It may indicate the story is not strong enough or I was just not allocating enough time for reading. It is about how the dedicated individual can win win through in the end as long as you stick with it. I did.

The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson

The Jigsaw Man (An Inspector Anjelica Henley Thriller, #1)The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great murder story which has taken me ages to read which seems strange during lockdown, but I have been so busy with projects at home and fitness training that reading has been taking a backseat. I say this because it does not reflect on the quality of the book. Writing style is an easy going style making ideal for reading in small sessions without loosing the enjoyment. The story is fairly predictable but very enjoyable and scary nonetheless.
